HFH Girls 9s Festival
Welcome to our Annual Girl’s 9’s Festival. Get set for an action packed, fast paced game of 9’s!
Here’s what you need to know
There is no FEE to enter the event,
Wilmere Lane is a NO dog’s site……Please leave them at home
We will also have a Women in Rugby League Heritage Exibition on show at the club. Find out more about the History of the womens and Girls game through the years.
Food will be available throughout in the Hornets Nest from 10AM with a BBQ on from 14:30 onwards too. The Clubhouse will be open for drinks.
We are just finalising having bouncy castles.! The Water slide will be out too!, remember to bring a spare change of clothes and a towel. No wet clothes allowed in the Clubhouse.
11:45 – Registration will take place 11:45 at the informantion tent. This will consist of each team submitting a teamsheet for the whole day. A site plan, and fixtures will be available too.
12:00 – We will be having a mass walking in typical HFH style on to the main pitch to showcase the girls. meet in the courtyard just before 12:00
12:20 – Games to kick off on your allocated pitch U14’s 12:40
14:15 – U14’s Presentation
15:15-15:45 – U16’s U11,’s U12’s U13’s Presentation
16:00 – Talk by some of the ex and current lionesses on their journey through rugby league in the Clubhouse.
20:00 – Mojo Filter – Live Band to finish the festival

U14 Girls North West Cup Winners
Womens League Cup Final
Halton Farnworth Hornets where delighted to be chosen by the RFL to host the Final of the Women’s League Cup between Wigan St Patricks and Dewsbury Moor Girls.
The weather certainly wasn’t the best! But it didn’t dampen the spirits of both teams, what a fantastic game both teams put on.
In the end it was Dewsbury Moor Girls ARFLC who won, beating Wigan St Patricks A.R.L.F.C 24-8. Well done everybody 👏
Dewsbury Moor commented ‘Thank you for being such welcoming hosts. You really did put on a fantastic event. A day for our Ladies to remember for a long time!
Girls 9’s Summer Festival
How amazing was our first Girls 9’s Summer Festival, that took place at Wilmere Lane over the weekend! 173 girls from 16 teams took part on Saturday 31st July, showcasing Girls Rugby League at its best!
