Halton Farnworth Hornets

At Halton Farnworth Hornets, we take our responsibility to safeguard the welfare of every child, young person, and vulnerable adult entrusted to our care very seriously. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for all our members.

As part of this commitment, we fully adhere to the RFL Safeguarding & Protecting Children & Vulnerable Adults Policy, ensuring the highest standards of care and protection across the club.

What Does the Club Welfare Officer Do?
The primary role of the Club Welfare Officer (CWO) is to ensure that Halton Farnworth Hornets provides a safe and enjoyable environment where children and young people can thrive while learning and playing Rugby League.

Safeguarding is a shared responsibility. At HFH, this responsibility is upheld by everyone, including coaches, volunteers, parents, and guardians. Together, we strive to prioritize the welfare and safety of all young people in our care.

If you have any concerns, whether they relate to a child’s safety, bullying, or any other issue, the Club Welfare Officer is here to help. Along with your coaches, the CWO is your first point of contact. Any information shared is treated with the utmost confidentiality.
